This is a story of a girl who got lost in time, space and place. Following a bat that was randomly flying, she falls into the void. Parsing information, programming environments, codes, poetry, cables and nets. She looses control and then finds herself the new dark ages

Her name is ILLEGITIMATE, the bastard sister of Alice in Wonderland. As the well worn narrative goes, Alice fell down a rabbit-hole into a fantasy realm populated by anthropomorphic playing cards and creatures talking riddles. ILLEGITIMATE takes a journey into dark electric space. In the abyss, she realizes she is stuck in between borders and identities.

She is there blind in another dimension, our reality. She can only see the world as reflections, and representations. The shape of the real is not perceivable. As a plastic doll she staggers around, grasping at electron-patterns and mediated forms. She feels ultimately tricked. The inhabitants look like marionettes. In glimpses she catches the society which is driven by an unseen motor and absurd rules. These strings move people and their inner wishes. Nobody seems to care. ILLEGITIMATE encounters different mechanisms and she reaches playfully into the unknown machine to touch its inner parts, fusing sophisticated technological means with raw materials. Once stepping out of the one dimensional idea of identity, her fast cutting collage of sound, image and action arises powerfully from this netherworld. ILLEGITIMATE is on a quest to re-circuit landscapes, to re-fuse the mechanism. ILLEGITIMATE does not awaken and write off the incidents as an ironic dream, but finds the entire situation repeating again in real life. Manoeuvring through a series of subspace time tunnels into the manifold, she transgresses boundaries and reformulates their contours.
ILLEGITIMATE is an error, a glitch, a dangerous supplement, who destabilises single notions of reason, existance and culture. ILLEGITIMATE 's cosmos is a world held together with cultural debris, sonic and visual output of our human material and machine.
